Day 1

·

Weight lost so far this year (from the Lose It app) prior to starting 75 Hard. I’m about 50 lbs down from my highest-ever weight, which I hit during Covid (like just about everyone else).

75 Hard Checklist

Diet Followed: “Dirty Keto” – I’m not trying to hit specific macros, and I will eat a super-processed Atkins bar occasionally. In passing, I just say “low carb”. I’m also staying below 1500 calories, but striving for 1200.

Broke my fast late at around 11:30 today because my walk started late.

Testing out some new Keto Chow flavors – Blueberry Pie is ok, would probably like it better if I liked blueberries more.

Indoor Workout (45+ min): I’m going to count the hard labor that was mopping all my floors, cleaning the kitchen counters, and cleaning out and then resorting the fridge as my indoor workout today. It doesn’t take much to make me sweat.😅

Outdoor Workout (45+ min): When I did 75 Hard last year, I walked around a city-maintained trail near my apartment every single day, rain, shine, or ice. I’ve moved out of that apartment this year, but the house I live in is a couple blocks away from another entrance to that same trail. So my outside walk will be the same, but different. Now that I’m working, I’m planning on going for an early walk at around the same time each day.

Gallon of Water: My Achilles heel is plain water. I hate it generally, but with a mix of Circul and GamerSupps flavors, I can get there.

10 Pages: I am reading If You Meet the Buddha on the Road, Kill Him! I have no idea how I feel about this. I generally hate self-help, so I may switch over to more skill-based books.

Progress Picture: I’m currently taking these but keeping them private. If I feel up to it, I might post a before-and-after.
